In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Walkable to Rome's highlights — The Trevi Fountain is a short stroll away, and the Spanish Steps are 10–15 minutes in the other direction. Many attractions are within easy walking distance.
  • Rooms with a kitchen corner — Each room includes a small kitchen area with tea and coffee facilities, an electric kettle, and cookware – handy for saving on breakfast and light meals.
  • Helpful and communicative staff — Guests note the team is friendly and goes out of their way to assist, including providing clear instructions for late check-in via WhatsApp or email.
  • Practical amenities for a 2-star — Free Wi-Fi, a lift, laundry service, and air conditioning in all rooms make this a comfortable base without extra frills.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Small, budget-level rooms — As a 2-star property, rooms are compact and basic. The Economy Double has a double bed rather than a king, and some rooms lack a coffee machine.
  • Reception not always staffed — The reception has set hours and is closed overnight. Check-in is from 14:00 to 23:59, so late arrivals need to coordinate with the hotel in advance.
  • Breakfast is not on-site — Breakfast is served at a nearby café and is not a buffet. If you prefer a hotel breakfast, this may not suit you.
  • Possible noise or lower-floor issues — Some guests on lower floors mentioned windows facing a garden that couldn't be opened well. The central area is busy, though one review noted it was quiet at night.

“A comfortable room with everything you need – a desk for working, coffee and tea facilities, and a TV. The small kitchen area and spotless bathroom were a bonus.”

“The service was excellent; the staff explained everything clearly and even though she didn't speak Spanish, she understood Italian well. On checkout day you can leave your suitcase at reception for free while exploring Rome. The reception has set hours but gives a number for emergencies. The bed was super comfortable. We didn't take breakfast, but it's served at a nearby café (not a buffet) with a menu for €9. Everything is close by – we visited all attractions on foot, though the metro and bus stops at Barberini Square are just next to the hotel. I recommend a little street near the hotel with a restaurant offering live music in the evenings; the pasta and risotto are impressive, and pizza is not far away. Very good atmosphere and prices – a lunch menu for €10–15. Don't leave without trying the pizza at PICCOLO BUCO, very close to the hotel near the Trevi Fountain. It's €20–30 per person but worth it; midday is more accessible than night with queues up to an hour. They also do takeaway.”

“Location was excellent – a short walk to all the attractions, good restaurants, and a local spot for breakfast. Pizzeria Barberini Express is 5 minutes away. The room was well-equipped with coffee/tea machines, multi-channel TV, and a writing desk. Comfortable bed and great views.”

8Verified guest

“This place is central, near a beautiful main street and within easy reach of restaurants and bars.”

“Quite clean with exceptional staff.”

“Well located – 10–15 minutes to the Trevi Fountain one way and the Spanish Steps the other. Next to the subway and a supermarket, with lots of food outlets and shops nearby. Having a kitchen corner in the room saves money on breakfast. Comfortable, especially for older guests and families. Spacious toilet with shower, clean fluffy towels, and a clean venue. Kind, helpful staff who gave us two room cards without issue – the same card works for the front door, which is convenient.”
